Zawadi Morrow
Artist in Residence, Christian Alliance for Orphans (CAFO)
Zawadi Morrow is an adoptee, adoptive father, and former foster parent whose life has been deeply shaped by the beauty and complexity of adoption. Born in the DR Congo and adopted as an infant by European missionaries, Zawadi brings a personal understanding of identity and belonging to his work and family life. He and his wife are the proud parents of two children, including a daughter through adoption with special needs. Their journey has included navigating medical systems, advocating in educational spaces, and learning to honor the unique stories their children carry.
Professionally, Zawadi serves as Artist in Residence with the Christian Alliance for Orphans (CAFO), where he leads CAFO SONGS — a freshly minted creative collective crafting music and storytelling that amplifies the voices of vulnerable children and families around the world. Drawing from both personal experience and professional advocacy, Zawadi speaks to the realities of adoption with honesty, hope, and deep compassion.
