Barb Clark
Training & Parent Support Specialist, NACAC
Barb Clark has four adopted children, the oldest of which is diagnosed with a FASD. Barb has made a ton of mistakes and wants to help others avoid those mistakes. She works at the North American Council on Adoptable Children (NACAC) and provides training on trauma-responsive strategies, post-adoption support, and her personal passion, FASD. She is committed to improving the education and lives of individuals who were prenatally exposed to drugs and alcohol and other forms of trauma. She uses humor and real-life experiences to help professionals and parents challenge the use of traditional strategies and to push them to think outside of the box. Barb Clark has a B.I.S. in Youth Studies from the University of Minnesota but has learned more through parenting than any degree could ever teach.
