Autumn Ackerson

Autumn Ackerson is a Chinese adoptee and currently serves as the China Program Coordinator and Marketing Coordinator of Ties: Adoptive Family Travel. Her journey with Ties began as a traveler to China with her mother in 2014 and continued as an adjunct travel staff member for China and Guatemalan Ties, where she developed a deep connection with numerous adoption stories and gained profound insight into the impact of heritage travel. Originally from Kalamazoo, MI, Autumn now calls Denver, CO, home, where she resides with her partner and their cat, Otto. With degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Aquinas College in Michigan, Autumn has a background in Social Work, focusing on foster care and adoption. She continues to be excited to apply her experience and passion to an organization that has profoundly impacted her life, supporting families on their adoption journeys.
