Sarah Bernstein

Sarah Bernstein is a rising junior at the University of Pennsylvania, majoring in History and Sociology of Science and minoring in Bioethics and African American Studies. This summer Sarah is working with the Penn Kislak (Rare Book) Center and University Archives. She is also developing and furthering the reach of Cocoa360, a non-profit designed to use profits from communal cocoa farms to fund a a tuition-free school for girls and provide subsidized healthcare. In 2020 Sarah worked with Dr. Jonathan Moreno on vaccine and resource allocation research. Sarah is an Asian American adoptee. She was adopted from Qingxin, Guangdong, China in 2002, at the age of 18 months. She has three sisters who were adopted from Hubei, Hunan, and Jiangxi.
