Saara McEachnie, LICSW, LCSW-C

Saara McEachnie, LICSW, LCSW-C, Director of Domestic Adoption Programs, oversees Barker’s Domestic Infant Program as well as Older Child/Foster Care Adoption Program (Project Wait No Longer). With over 17 years of social work experience, Saara brings a love and a passion for children and families having served in both managerial and direct-service capacities in the public and private child welfare systems. Saara is best known for her go-getter attitude and positive energy that she infuses into every task that she takes on. She firmly believes that a child-centered approach, thoughtful collaboration, and the willingness to tackle the hard conversations is key in ethical decision-making. Saara holds a Bachelor and Masters degree in Social Work.
