Kelly Carmody
Director and Columbia Program Manager, International Adoption Net
Kelly is a director at International Adoption Net (IAN) contributing to the overall agency as well as the Colombia program, bringing a wealth of expertise and personal insight to ease the journey for clients. With a commitment to best practices and a focus on the Hague requirements of international adoption, Kelly has 13 years running a Colombia program as well as personally navigated the process, having adopted internationally three times as a single woman. Kelly adopted her 11-year-old son and 16-year-old daughter from Colombia, and her first daughter, an infant, from Kazakhstan. Her 20+ year journey has helped an estimated 1,000 children in the US and countless countries around the world find permanent families, making her a seasoned expert in the field. Kelly understands the uncertainties, questions, and challenges that may arise during and long after the adoption. She has a special passion for helping single, unpartnered individuals and those in the LGBTQ community become parents through adoption. Beyond her role at IAN, Kelly is the founder and executive director of A Love Beyond Borders adoption agency in Denver, Colorado. In her free time, she enjoys fostering with animal rescue groups, travel, cooking, and entertaining.
