Janelle Ison
Adoption Education Special Projects Manager
Janelle Ison rejoined the NCFA team in 2022 (previously 2007-2016) and serves as the Adoption Education Special Projects Manager. In this role, she manages the content development and ongoing improvements to NCFA’s online training courses and supports NCFA’s conference planning team.
Janelle earned a B.A. in Liberal Arts and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Program Management. Her nonprofit leadership and management experience includes administration, operations, finance and strategic planning.
Janelle has been personally and professionally involved in local and national child and family advocacy efforts for over 25 years. As an adopted individual and birth mother, she openly shares her unique adoption story with others. She resides in Alexandria, Virginia with her husband and son and maintains a strong connection with her birth mom and birth son.
