Allison Kunkel, CAPSW

Allison Kunkel, MS APSW, has been working in the field of adoption and foster care since 1995. She began her career at a private agency in a variety of roles over the years in birthparent counseling, counseling for children and families, foster care, supervised visitation, and independent living skills. She currently works at Catholic Charities as an adoption social worker, training facilitator, and provides intensive support for children and families experiencing difficulty post adoption. She has a focus on trauma and how it impacts a child’s development and uses that knowledge as it relates to adoption and post adoption in her daily work. Allison has a Bachelor of Science degree of Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from St. Cloud State University. She is also a Certified Social Worker. When she is not working she enjoys spending time on her hobby farm in Northwestern Wisconsin with her husband and three sons.
