Grandfamilies through Adoption: Working with Kinship Placements
Currently, about 2.6 million children in the U.S. are being raised by family members other than their parents. There is also an increasing number of children adopted by their grandparents. This unique type of adoption, comes with a unique set of benefits and complexities. In this course, the speaker provides adoption professionals with information on the dynamics of grandfamilies, strategies for navigating birth parent relationships, and post adoption resources.
