Adoption After Infertility: Assessing, Recruiting, and Preparing Families for Adoption

This course walks through one family’s journey from infertility to adoption and provides prospective adoptive families with tools for selecting an adoption agency and identifying needs and barriers. This course also provides in depth information on how adoption professionals can best support families after infertility by accurately assessing adoption readiness, dispelling common adoption myths, and developing comprehensive aftercare plans with families.

• Recognize the need for post-infertility readiness assessments as part of the adoption process.

• Demonstrate how prospective adoptive families can benefit from comprehensive post-infertility care and post-adoption plans.
