Known for her soft, soothing voice on nighttime radio, Delilah is the most listened to woman on the radio, with more than eight million weekly listeners in the United States. Over the years, she has shared her heart for adoption with her listeners, as she adopted 12 children through international adoption and from U.S. foster care. Delilah is now the loving mother of 15 children and a tireless advocate for children in need of a permanent, loving family. Her passion for adoption and vulnerable children led her to establish the nonprofit organization Point Hope to serve as a voice for forgotten children everywhere.
Guests at NCFA’s 2018 Adoption Hall of Fame Awards reception were inspired by Delilah’s remarks as she accepted the Adoption Hall of Fame Award for her work on behalf of children and orphans around the world. And now, NCFA is thrilled to welcome Delilah as the mistress of ceremonies for our 40th Anniversary Gala, Families For All: A Celebration of Adoption, to be held Thursday, April 30, 2020 at The Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC.
Delilah will personally mingle with VIP guests prior to the formal Gala, which will include a seated dinner, dessert, and Super Silent Auction. As mistress of ceremonies, we look forward to hearing Delilah’s inspiring story of becoming an adoptive mother and her work to serve as a voice for all children, everywhere.
Three former presidents and first ladies have extended their support for NCFA’s 40th Anniversary Gala and the cause of adoption, by serving on the Gala Honorary Committee. NCFA is honored to extend our gratitude to President and Mrs. James Carter, President Bill Clinton and Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton, and President and Mrs. George Bush, for their service to children and families through support of NCFA’s work. The Presidents and former first ladies are joined on the Honorary Committee by a number of current and former national, state, and local government leaders who are dedicated to advancing the cause of adoption.
President and Mrs. Barack H. Obama have also extended their support for the Gala and the cause of adoption by joining the Gala Honorary Committee. We are grateful for their service to children and families through support of NCFA's work.
