Beth Nonte Russell

Beth Nonte Russell is the author of “Forever Lily,” a memoir that shares the story of her unexpected adoption of an infant from China. She has written opinion pieces about adoption that have appeared in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, and the Huffington Post.

Beth is also the Founder of GoodTrueBeautiful, Inc., which launched its first product line, a fragrance called foreverlily and inspired by her daughter, in 2009. A portion of all proceeds of the fragrance goes to the Golden Phoenix Foundation, a non-profit founded by Beth and her husband, Randy. The mission of the Golden Phoenix Foundation is to end child abandonment worldwide.

Formerly a Hill staffer, Beth worked for Senator Richard G. Lugar of Indiana. She earned a Master’s degree in Psychology from Marymount University, and provided counseling services at a community mental health center in the Washington, DC, area prior to taking the journey that inspired “Forever Lily.”

She and her husband Randy, and their three daughters, Lily, Jaden and Daisy, live in Northern Virginia and on Kiawah Island, South Carolina.
