As an intern, Emma is excited to help the NCFA in any way she can. This summer, she is helping with the execution of NCFA’s National Adoption Conference: Adoption on My Mind. She recently updated NCFA’s new event app, Attendify, which is going to be used for the first time at this year’s conference. Her other responsibilities also include researching recent bills pertaining to adoption, which helps her stay up-to-date on legislation, and builds her research skills.
Emma is from Burke, VA, and is a rising junior at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA. She is a Linguistics major, and hopes to attend William & Mary’s School of Education in Elementary Instruction for a Fifth Year Master’s Program. Emma hopes to learn as much as she can about child welfare and early childhood development through the NCFA and staff in order to equip herself with as much knowledge about children before entering the teaching field.
